The Erasmus+ VISUALIZE Project concentrates on preparing a new generation to enter the workforce. Professional skills are no longer enough to succeed. New technologies are leading to more efficient ways of completing task and globalization has created a culture of interaction and integration of people from different backgrounds.
VISUALIZE encourages young people to develop tolerance and soft skills through the use of examining images of increasing complexity. They uncover and discover their own unique points-of-view through examination and discussion.
Participants cultivate a willingness and ability to present their ideas, while respecting and learning form the perspectives of peers. Engaged by contributing observations and ideas, they become aware that two or more people may observe the same “picture,“ but come away with completely different interpretations. They develop an understanding that each one is correct in his/her own way depending on their perspective.
Participating in group discussions and responding to carefully selected questions serves to increase tolerance and social competence as well as critical thinking tools. These skills are most required in today’s work place.
